Become a Volunteer!

Are you in need of fresh inspiration? Looking for some way to share your talents and enthusiasm with children and youth? How about bringing some of that creative energy down to Baños, Ecuador where you can join us in making a difference in a small community in the Andean mountains!

Come volunteer for FAM! We are always looking for talented Spanish-speaking Artists and English Teachers in our language program for children, teens and adults and volunteer Library Helpers to work with the children in LA BIBLIOTECA INTERACTIVA DE BANOS. For these positions we offer training and lots of children eager to learn!

Requirements:
We prefer you to have Intermediate Spanish language skills. (We can provide you help in improving your Spanish thru our Intercambios and referrals to good people to learn from, but having a grasp of the language before you come will make your experience here much more productive and fun!)

We prefer volunteers with a minimum age of 22. Other than that, age does not matter. Life experience is a good thing!

NOTE: There is no fee to volunteer with us!

Your Commitment: In order to establish relationships with the children and guarantee continuity of our programs, we require a minimum commitment of at least 1 month, 30 hours per week. Even longer is better.

Accommodations We also offer completely furnished Volunteer living spaces with shared kitchen and bath, laundry facilities and WiFi Internet at very inexpensive prices (singles $200, double bed $250 a month. A $100 non-refundable deposit is required to reserve a volunteer room.)
